VETERINARY MAGNETIC RESONANCE

Getting to the bottom of the root of your pet's illness is our goal at Caleidos clinic, so it's essential to use every tool that can allow us to achieve it. Among these are MRI. This investigation, due to its scarce availability in the area and in particular in the veterinary field, although particularly suitable for the study of soft tissue and minimally invasive (it requires only mild sedation and does not emit harmful radiation for the animal), was, for years, performed only after resorting to other more widespread and easier techniques. Today, MRI is known as the diagnostic method of choice for brain, medullary, ligament, cartilage and some cardiovascular diseases, ones that can be promptly identified in our facility thanks to a cutting-edge, highly performing MRI equipment and to specialist staff.

At Caleidos clinic we also do MRI of knee joints, a method that is not very widespread in the veterinary field.

  • NEW MRI AT CALEIDOS

In line with its principle of continuous renewal and updating, in 2019 Caleidos veterinary clinic added new equipment for MRI. It is a human total-body machine, which allows for faster production of images in  higher resolution, of relatively larger anatomical areas. Currently in the clinic we have two MRI machines, so we can examine several patients simultaneously, reducing the time of the test and therefore of sedation of the animal and speeding up information times.
